I
started taking pictures when I was contracted by Independent
Newspapers to photograph cars for their advertising section. I soon
realized that there was more to this "photography" than I thought.
So, I decided to complete a Diploma at DIT Kevin
Street, the leading photography school in Ireland. I found the
course very interesting and challenging. I managed to come first in
my class each year and won the prestigious Lady Ross Medal.
While at college, I was commissioned by various
companies including Law Society of Ireland, Clarke Oil, IT magazine.
This experience gave me enough confidence after college to run my
own business.
Since then, I have added to my client base,
widened my areas of photography and invested in a large 2000sq ft
digital studio premises in South Dublin.
I have won many awards in various categories
including weddings from Fuji, commercial awards from Kodak and most
recently I was awarded UK Merit Winner by Fuji UK.
Perhaps, my talent for photography was inherited
through my mother, who was the grand niece of the famous Irish
photography pioneer of the 1800s, Mrs Robinson. I love photography
and enjoy challenging myself. I am always looking for the best
picture possible!
